Description
STYLE
Produced as a classic dry style.
VITICULTURE
The fruit was sourced from the Castine family Golf House single site vineyard. The soil profile is red loam over friable limestone and the yield was 2.4 tonnes/acre.
VINIFICATION
Varying temperatures of mild to hot days accelerated the ripening period. However, the traditional cool nights helped retain good flavour profiles. Pronounced lime/lemon aromas and flavours, with a hint of orange blossom are a confirmed indicator of another great Riesling vintage in the Clare Valley. The grapes were harvested in late February. Only the free run juice is used for the Tim Gramp Riesling. Post fermentation the wine was cold stabilised and filtered. The wine was bottled in mid August. 12.5% alc/vol
